I TALK is a Teen Challenge Albania program designed to help and support students in schools with information about wrong choices and their consequences.
We offer audiovisual presentations and various print materials with facts, misinformation, and the costs of using different substances of abuse. Young presenters share their experiences with drugs and the destructive consequences they have brought to their lives and families. We know that life is not easy. It is complicated, difficult, and filled with extraordinary pressure. Pressure seems to come from every direction: from parents, friends, teachers, peers, etc. The pressure of who you should be and what you should do never ends. Then you encounter difficult situations for which you are not prepared.
Anyone would want help in dealing with all these issues. You can't handle everything alone, no matter how much you think you can handle on your own, so we're here to help you. Making the right choices, healthy choices, that make you feel good about yourself, shows that you need friends who will help you achieve them. The kinds of choices that will lead you down a path you'll be proud of for making those choices.
Drugs are not something you choose to use today and stop using tomorrow. Presentations and different stories will help you recognize and avoid some wrong choices and their consequences. Some of these stories talk about people who have fallen into the trap of drugs or alcohol. They found their way to break free from it (the addiction) but with considerable difficulty and consequences in life such as illness, loss of relationships, or loss of hope. We share these stories with you so that you do not make these wrong choices. We talk to you because we want you to be informed and able to support your decisions with accurate information that considers your life.
